OUR STORY
The silver spatula is run by Kathryn Fourie a self-taught baker and cake decorator that has spent 1000’s of hours perfecting her skills.
She first brought her baking and decorating talents to the people she knew and loved in 2015 and they all encouraged her to take her skills to the next level and turn her hobby into a career, she started Illustrious cakes and word of mouth spread like wild fire, she has vast amounts of repeat customers that have traveled far and wide to purchase one of her beautiful cakes that not only are beautiful they are divine. After having hundreds of overwhelmingly happy customers, she decided to start sharing her expertise with other hobby makers, in hopes to enable and empower them to take their hobby and create a successful career, so she decided to open the Silver Spatula cake decorating studio.
